Chalo ek clean, numbers-first tax calculation dekhte hain ₹10,00,000 CTC salaried employee ke liye FY 2026-27 mein.
Step 1 — Standard Deduction Minus Karo
- New regime: ₹75,000 → taxable ₹9,25,000
- Old regime: ₹50,000 → taxable ₹9,50,000
Step 2 — Slabs Lagao (Budget 2025 — FY 2025-26)
New regime (on ₹9,25,000 taxable):
0–4L: ₹0
4–8L @ 5%: ₹20,000
8–9.25L @ 10%: ₹12,500
Tax before rebate = ₹32,500. Section 87A rebate (up to ₹60,000 if taxable ≤ ₹12L) wipes it out → Final tax = ₹0.
Old regime (after ₹1.5L 80C + ₹25K 80D + ₹50K standard deduction = ₹7,75,000 taxable):
0–2.5L: ₹0
2.5–5L @ 5%: ₹12,500
5–7.75L @ 20%: ₹55,000
Tax = ₹67,500 + 4% cess = ₹70,200.
Step 3 — Winner Chuno
₹10L salary pe, new regime poore ₹70,200 bachata hai old regime ke mukable — seedhi jeet. Old regime tabhi baraabari karta hai jab aapke paas bada home-loan interest deduction + HRA ho. Confirm karne ke liye apne exact deductions ke saath tax calculator chalao.
